AJHL announces League Awards

BROOKS, AB (May 25, 2021) – Five Bandits have been recognized for their accomplishments in the 2020-21 Season, as the Alberta Junior Hockey League announced the winners of their Team Awards.

Forward Sean Chisholm was named Team MVP. The Dartmouth commit finished 2nd in team scoring with 30 points (19G, 11A) in 20 games and scored five game winners.

Winger TJ Hughes was named Top Forward. The Robert Morris commit won the AJHL scoring title with 31 points (15G, 16A) in 20 games and was awarded four Game Stars during the year.

Goaltender Jared Whale was named Top Goaltender. The Calgary native finished with an 8-1 record, a league-best 1.65 goals against average and .912 save percentage, with one shutout.

Defenceman Corson Ceulemans was named Top Defenceman. The Wisconsin commit played eight games, registering 11 points (4G, 7A) before leaving for the U18 World Hockey Championship, where he won a Gold Medal with Team Canada. Ceulemans is projected to be a 1st Round pick at the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

Defenceman Zach Bookman was named Top Rookie. The Merrimack commit finished 2nd in the AJHL in defenceman scoring with 18 points (2G, 16A) in 19 games.
