Bandits 1-1 On Weekend

The Bandits dropped their home opener 3-1 to the Camrose Kodiaks on Friday despite outshooting them 33-15 and having six Power Play opportunities.  Alex Roberts got the lone goal and lone point of the night for the Bandits.

Shoppers Drug Mart Player of the Game went to #2 Adam Baughman and the Boston Pizza Hardest Working Bandit was #16 Jared Cockrell.

Saturday saw the Bandits in Okotoks to take on the Oilers.  In a back and forth, hard fought battle the Bandits won in exciting fashion with Austin Plevy scoring with 1 second left in overtime for the win.  This would be the only goal of the game from either team.

Josh Davies kept the Bandits in the game stopping 39 shots on net, including three breakaways.  The Bandits also had to put their Penalty Kill skills to the test with a number of penalties coming in the later part of the game. Bandits had 19 shots on former Bandits goalie Devon Fordyce.

Player of the game went to Josh Davies.

Next up the Bandits have two home games this upcoming weekend.  Okotoks will be back in town on Friday with what is shaping up to be a great game and on Saturday the feisty Drumheller Dragons will be in Brooks.  Going to be a fantastic weekend of hockey!
