Bandits acquire Conner Jean from Pembroke for Kamps and futures

BROOKS, AB (January 10, 2017) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have acquired 1997-born forward Conner Jean (Oakland, MI) from the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL), the team announced today.

In exchange, the Bandits send 1997-born forward Jacob Kamps (Pickering, ON) and future considerations to Pembroke.

Jean, 19, has scored 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists) in 28 games so far for the Lumber Kings, after spending last season with the Waterloo Siskins of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL), where he scored 25 points (8 goals, 17 assists) in 18 regular season games, and added a further 25 points (14 goals, 11 assists) in 18 playoff games, ranking 4th among all players in the GOJHL in playoff goals.

Prior to that, he scored 16 points (8 goals, 8 assists) in 34 games for Kimball Union Academy, where he was a teammate of current Bandits Nic Hamre (Ottawa, ON) and Dennis Cesana (Providence, RI).

Kamps, 19, scored 4 points (3 goals, 1 assist) in 16 regular season games with the Bandits after being acquired from the Penticton Vees of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) on October 29th.
