BROOKS, AB (October 18, 2023) – The Brooks Bandits have acquired forward Ewan McPherson from the Sherwood Park Crusaders for future considerations, the team announced on Wednesday.
McPherson (Edmonton, AB), is a 6’1, 190lb, left-shot forward who dressed in 11 games this season for Sherwood Park, scoring eight points (1G, 7A). He spent the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons with the Spruce Grove Saints, dressing in 86 games and tallying 63 points (31G, 32A). He’s played in 22 AJHL Playoff games with the Saints, scoring 11 points (4G, 7A), playing in consecutive AJHL Finals vs the Bandits.
The 2004-born forward is committed to American International College (AIC – NCAA Division I).
McPherson will make his Bandits debut on Friday, October 20th when Brooks hosts Drumheller.
The Bandits continue their road trip on Wednesday, October 18th when they visit the Bonnyville Pontiacs. Game time is 7:00 pm.
