BROOKS, AB (November 30, 2022) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have completed a three-team deal, acquiring Michigan Tech committed forward Quinn Disher from the Trail Smoke Eaters of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), the team announced on Wednesday.
The Bandits moved the rights of 2003-born forward Nic DeGraves to the Penticton Vees for Future Considerations. To complete the deal, the Vees moved Ethan Mann to the Smoke Eaters.
At 6’0 170lb Disher, is in his third season of junior hockey, dressing in 21 games this season with the Smoke Eaters, tallying 14 points (6g, 8a). The 2003-born forward has dressed in 92 games with Trail, scoring 67 points (27g, 40a), finishing the 2021-22 season 4th in team scoring.
The Fort St. John, BC, product played in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with the Okanagan HA Red U18 Prep team.
The Bandits acquired the rights to DeGraves on November 10th in a trade with the Whitecourt Wolverines. DeGraves played in 14 games during the COVID-shortened 2020-21 season with Brooks, scoring 9 points (3g, 6a). He dressed in 53 regular season games with the Bandits in 2021-22, setting career highs where he tallied 47 points (14g, 33a) in 53 games. He won an AJHL Championship and Centennial Cup while in Brooks.
The Bandits are home for two games this weekend, beginning Friday, December 2nd vs the Canmore Eagles, followed by the Saturday, December 3rd Teddy Bear Toss game vs the Olds Grizzlys. Both games are at 7:00 pm.
