Bandits acquire Huebner from Spruce Grove

BROOKS, AB (September 20, 2016) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have acquired 1998-born defenceman Parker Huebner (Leduc, AB) in a trade with the AJHL’s Spruce Grove Saints.

In exchange, the Bandits have sent 1999-born defenceman Jarrod Gourley (Calgary, AB) to the Saints.

Huebner, 18, was the second-highest scoring defenceman in the Alberta Midget Hockey League (AMHL) last season, recording 30 points (9 goals, 21 assists) in 32 games for the Leduc Oil Kings, ranking second on the team in points.

In 8 career AJHL games played as an affiliate in 2014-15 and 2015-16, and 2 regular season games this year Huebner recorded a total of 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists) for the Saints.

Gourley, 17, dressed in 28 career regular season games for the Bandits, including 1 this season, recording 7 points (1 goal, 6 assists). He also dressed in 4 games at the 2016 Western Canada Cup and 5 at the 2016 RBC Cup.

The Bandits would like to thank Jarrod for his service to the organization over the last season-plus, as well as welcome Parker to the Bandits.
