BROOKS, AB (October 29, 2016) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have acquired 1997-born forward Jacob Kamps (Pickering, ON) from the Penticton Vees of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) for future considerations, the team announced today.
Kamps, 19, is currently committed to the University of Vermont and brings the number of NCAA Division I-committed players on the current Bandit roster to 10.
The 6’3”, 210lb forward had recorded 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) in 12 career BCHL games. Prior to this season, he scored 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in 26 games for Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Massachusetts, while adding 19 points (13 goals, 6 assists) in 12 games for the Boston Jr. Bruins of the Massachusetts Selects Hockey League.
