Brooks, Alberta, November 30, 2012 – The Brooks Bandits are excited to add Madison Dunn (1995 forward) to the organization. Dunn will be leaving his Calgary Flames Midget AAA squad to join the Bandits. Madison leaves as the current scoring leader in the AMHL with 10 goals and 20 assists in only 17 games. Dunn has played 4 games for the Bandits as an affiliate posting two goals in that time. He will be joining the Bandits this weekend for the remainder of the season.
Head Coach/GM Ryan Papaioannou – “Madison is a highly skilled individual and has played great as an affiliate for us. We saw an opportunity to add a player that can not only contribute now but should be a top player in the AJHL in time. He is a focused young man looking to play in the NCAA and we feel like this is going to be a great fit. It was a difficult decision for Madison to leave his Midget AAA team but they were more than accommodating and Coach Dean Melnyk supported his decision to the fullest, we thank him for that. ”
