Bandits and Kodiaks Tied 2-2

Wow what a playoff series this has been so far!  The Bandits had a rough start losing Games 1 and 2 in Camrose to go down 0-2 in the series.  As the boys headed back home for Games 3 and 4 they knew they had an uphill battle but boy did they prevail.  For those in attendance the games in Brooks on Monday and Tuesday night were nothing short of electrifying!

Friday night saw the Bandits get a much needed 4-2 win over the Kodiaks.  Derek Lodermeier had a huge night scoring a hat trick and earning the Player of Game.  Jeff Malott added 1G, while Cale Makar, Kyler Nachtigall and Linden Springer all had 1A each.  Josh “Dancing” Davies stopped 29 shots and helped backstop the Bandits to the win.

Saturday night was a bit different as the Kodiaks game out flying and quickly went up 4-1 on the Bandits.  But Brooks didn't lay down, and fought back to tie up the game in regulation and shutting down Camrose's offense.  Off to OT on a PP and Shane Bear finds the back of the net to give the Bandits the win, final score 5-4.

Point getters were Austin Plevy 1G-3A, Derek Lodermeier 1G-1A, Chase Clayton 2A, Shane Bear, Kyler Nachtigall and Alex Roberts with 1G each and Mark Logan and Linden Springer with 1A each.  Once again Josh Davies was in net for the win stopping 23 shots and earning the Player of the Game.

Game 5 will be held in Camrose on Friday, April 3 and then we are back in Brooks on Sunday, April 5.  Both games will be at 7:00pm.
