Bandits defenceman Sam Court named AJHL Defensive Player of the Week

The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week is Sam Court of the Brooks Bandits.  The first-year defenceman is currently tied for second among AJHL rookies with 13 points (2G, 11A) after posting a five-point week with a goal and four assists.

Court and the Bandits defeated the Grande Prairie Storm 6-2 on October 10th with the University of New Hampshire commit picking up two assists in the game.  On October 14th, Court scored a goal and an assist as the Bandits defeated the Spruce Grove Saints 8-3 in a rematch of the 2022 AJHL Final.  His fifth point of the week came as an assist in a 6-3 win versus the Whitecourt Wolverines, which completed a three-game sweep of North Division opponents.

Sam Court (Winnipeg, MB) is enjoying a four-game point streak with seven assists and a goal over the stretch.  The 2004-born rookie is fifth overall in points among all AJHL defencemen.

Court and the Bandits host the Olds Grizzlys on Wednesday, October 19. Game time is 6:30 pm at the Centennial Regional Arena.
