CANMORE, AB (October 14, 2021) – Anthony Cipollone scored twice and Ethan Barwick made 26 saves as the Brooks Bandits (9-1) blanked the Eagles 5-0 at the Canmore Rec Centre on Thursday night.
The win is the 8th consecutive for Brooks, and the third time this year they’ve shutout an opponent.

Brooks opened the scoring 8:23 into the game as forward Anthony Cipollone took an Ethan Lund (Niagara) stretch pass and fired in a forehand shot from the right circle to make it 1-0. The Bandits doubled their lead to 2-0 in the final minute of the 1st period as defenceman Brendan Kennette (Sacred Heart) fired in a shot top shelf from the left circle. Shots were 17-9 Brooks.
The Bandits scored two goals 22 seconds apart for the 2nd period’s only goals. Forward TJ Hughes (Mercyhurst) tipped in a Ryan McAllister (Western Michigan) point shot at 9:13 to make it 3-0. That was followed by a McAllister goal seconds later as he finished off a right circle shot on a setup from linemate Devin Phillips (Holy Cross). Shots were 19-7 Bandits.
Cipollone scored another 2:38 into the 3rd period as linemate Aiden Fink (Wisconsin) fed him a goal line pass which the Purchase, NY product knocked in to make it 5-0. Final shots were 52-26 Brooks.
