FEBRUARY 21, 2023 – For the second time this season, Brooks Bandits forward Hudson Malinoski is the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week for February 13th to 19th.
The Saskatoon, SK product tallied points in eight of his last nine games played, including five points (1G, 4A) in two wins last week.
On February 16th, Malinoski recorded two assists in an 8-1 road win versus the Camrose Kodiaks. The following night, the 2004 Bandit scored a goal and two assists in a 6-1 win over the visiting Calgary Canucks. Malinoski is 12th overall in the AJHL Scoring Race and 3rd amongst rookies with 62 points (13G, 49A).
The Providence (NCAA Division I) commit is a finalist for the AJHL Rookie of the Year Award, and is 78th on the latest NHL Central Scouting Midterm Rankings.
The Brooks Bandits have clinched first place in the Viterra AJHL South Division and currently enjoy an eight-game win streak as they approach the 2023 Inter Pipeline AJHL Playoffs.

The Bandits are back in action on Friday, February 24th, when they visit the Okotoks Oilers. Game time is 7:00 pm on Real Country 105.7 FM.
