Bandits forward Hudson Malinoski wins AJHL Rookie of the Week honours for second straight week

FEBRUARY 28, 2023 – For the second consecutive week, and third time this season, Brooks Bandits forward Hudson Malinoski has been named the Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week.

The AJHL Rookie of the Year Finalist led all rookies from February 20th to 26th with five points in three games.

Malinoski (Saskatoon, SK) recorded an assist in a tight 2-1 victory versus the Drumheller Dragons on February 20th and added another assist in a 4-2 win over the Okotoks Oilers on February 24th.  With the win, the Brooks Bandits clinched home ice advantage throughout the playoffs as the regular season champions.

The Providence-commit scored a goal and two assists to close the week on February 25th in another 4-2 win versus Okotoks.  Malinoski has compiled a six-game point streak totaling 14 points.  He is tied for 11th overall in the AJHL Scoring Race and 3rd amongst rookies with 66 points.

  • October 24th to 30th – Hudson Malinoski
  • October 31st to November 6th – Sam Court
  • February 13th to 19th – Hudson Malinoski
