Bandits forward Malott named AJHL Player of the Month

BROOKS, AB (December 21, 2015) – Brooks Bandits forward Jeff Malott (Waterdown, ON) has been named the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) Player of the Month for December of 2015, it was announced today.

Malott, 19, scored points in all 7 games in the month, averaging more than two points per game, with 17 points (6 goals, 11 assists) in that span. He currently ranks eighth on the Bandits in scoring, but first in points per game, with 31 points (10 goals, 21 assists) in an injury-shortened 21-game campaign.

The 6’3”, 195lb forward is also on a 13-game point scoring streak, and made his NCAA Division I committment earlier this season to Cornell University.

Malott is the first Bandit to win the Player of the Month award since Austin Plevy (Calgary, AB) was named its recipient in November of 2014.
