Bandits forward Randy Hernandez wins AJHL Player of the Week

BROOKS, AB (November 4, 2019) ? Fresh off being named the Alberta Junior Hockey League?s Player of the Week, Brooks Bandits forward Randy Hernandez (Miami, FL) has received his third league honour of the season, being named today as the AJHL?s Player of the Week for the second time.

Hernandez also won the award for the week of October 7th ? 13th.

The 20-year old scored 7 points (4 goals, 3 assists) in 3 games in the week, moving up to 3rd in the AJHL scoring race with 33 points (15 goals, 18 assists) in 20 games. He ranks 3rd in the league in goals and 5th in assists.

On Tuesday, Hernandez scored twice and added an assist in a 5-4 shootout win in Canmore over the Eagles. On Saturday, he added an assist at home as the Bandits beat Drumheller 4-3, then scored two more goals and an assist in a 6-3 win in Calgary on Sunday afternoon, extending the Bandits? season-opening winning streak to a league record-tying 20 games.
