The Bandits had two big games this past weekend as they took on the two teams that were tied for second place in the South.
Friday night saw the Drumheller Dragons in town. There was no scoring in the first two periods, but once the third hit the Bandits opened it up. The score ended up 3-0 Bandits and shots on net were 39-29 in favour of Brooks.
Point getters for the night were Nick McCormack 1G-1A, Anthony Petruzzelli 2A, Madison Dunn and Anthony Paskaruk with 1G each and Brandon Bruce, Austin Plevy and Alex Roberts with 1A each. Michael Fredrick was in net for the shut out.
Game star went to Anthony Petruzzelli.
Then Saturday night the team travelled to Okotoks. The Bandits had not beaten Okotoks yet this year so they were looking for a win and they got one, trampling the Oilers 6-1. Shots on net were close, 29-27 in favour of the Bandits. Again Michael Fredrick played in net and was outstanding.
Point getters were Anthony Petruzzelli 2G-1A, Austin Plevy 1G-2A, Maddison Smiley 2G, Jake Larson 2A, Alex Roberts 1G and Shane Bear, Brandon Bruce, Nick McCormack, Anthony Paskaruk and Dylan Plitt with 1A each.
For the second time in as many games, Anthony Petruzzelli was named the game star.
Bandits are back in action Tuesday night in Drumheller.
