Nick Prkusic and Randy Hernandez have been filling up the scoresheet for Robert Morris. Prkusic has already tallied 13 pts (3G, 10A) in 12 games and is 2nd in team scoring. Then there?s freshmen Randy Hernandez. He already has 13 pts (5G, 8A) in 12 games and has already been named Atlantic Hockey Player of the Month and RMU Student Athlete of the Week. On January 7th, both recorded multiple-assists, including the game winner, as RMU erased a 2-1 deficit and triumphed 3-2 in overtime at Niagara. The Colonials are ranked 20th in the NCAA.

Colgate?s Arnaud Vachon registered his 1st goal of the season vs St. Lawrence on Jan 7th. The Bandits 5th all time goal scorer is in his sophomore season with the Raiders, and has 3 pts (1G, 2A) in 6 games. Colgate also features former Bandits Mitch Benson and Josh McKechney.

Brandon Scanlin?s sophomore year at Nebraska-Omaha is off to a great start, with the towering blueliner scoring 8 points (1G, 7A) through 10 games for the Mavericks, who went 6-3-1 during the NCHC Pod in Omaha, NE and are ranked 11th in the country.

Scanlin?s former teammate and Michigan State defenceman Dennis Cesana is tied for the team lead in scoring, with 6 pts (1G, 5A) in 10 games. The Spartans also feature former Bandit goaltender Pierce Charleson.

Sticking with defenceman, Jordan Di Cicco registered his 1st NCAA goal on Dec 12th vs RIT. Di Cicco is in freshman year with the Long Island Sharks, the newest NCAA Div I team.

Lots of Bandit bloodlines at Vermont, including defenceman Andrew Lucas, who was named captain of the Catamounts this year, just the 4th sophomore captain in program history (Vermont has had 62 captains total for some perspective). Lucas, who won a National Championship with Brooks in 2019, has 1A through 6 games. The Catamounts also feature William Lemay, Simon Boyko, Nic Hamre and Phip Waugh.

Sophomore forward Simon Gravel has 2G in 4 games with Canisius this year. The 1st was a shorthanded breakaway goal vs Robert Morris on Nov 28th, followed by a right circle snipe on Jan 3rd vs Mercyhurst.

Oliver Chau is 6th in team scoring for his 8th ranked UMass Minutemen, including a game winning goal on New Years? day vs Northeastern. The 2017 AJHL Rookie of the year followed that game with a multi-assist effort on Jan 6th vs New Hampshire.

Jared Cockrell, who?s 9th all-time in Bandit goals, scored his 1st goal with St. Cloud State on Dec 6th in a 5-3 win over Nebraska-Omaha.

Quinnipiac?s Joe O?Connor scored his 1st of the year on Dec 26th as his 13th ranked Bobcats whooped AIC 8-3.

Conner Jean has 3 pts in 8 games for Holy Cross this year, while defenceman Nick Hale set up a overtime game winning goal on Dec 9th over Bentley.

 

 

Speaking of Bentley, captain Charlie Marchand also found the scoresheet for the Falcons in that same Dec 9th game for his 1st goal of the year. Former Bandit Will Garin also plays for Bentley.

Ohio State forward Matt Cassidy, who suited up for the Bandits in the 2017-18 season, registered his 1st goal with the Buckeyes on Dec 18th vs Arizona State, who scored on off a rebound.

 

Arizona State’s Jarrod Gourley scored the 1st of his season on Jan 4th vs the #1 ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers.
