Bandits power play rank leads to $1,000 minor hockey donation from Finning

BROOKS, AB (March 28, 2019) – Finning Canada has donated $1,000 to the Brooks Minor Hockey Association, as a result of the Brooks Bandits leading the AJHL’s Finning Power Play Leader Board this season, the league announced today.

Tom Truman from Finning was on hand with Brooks Minor Hockey president Erick Lutterotti, as well as Bandit captains Nathan Plessis, Jake Theis, Arnaud Vachon, and Brandon Scanlin to present the donation at the Centennial Regional Arena today.

The Bandits led the way with 95 power play goals in the 2018-19 regular season, 16 more than any other team in the league. It was the second-most power play goals scored in franchise history, tied with the 2012-13 national championship team and only 10 goals behind the record-setting 2011-12 squad.
