Friday & Saturday games to feature live audio via Q1057.ca and FastHockey
BROOKS, AB (August 31, 2015) – When the Brooks Bandits head to Penticton, British Columbia for two pre-season games against the defending British Columbia Hockey League champions this weekend, Bandit fans will be able to follow all of the action live on their computers and mobile devices, with two options for live streams of the games, the team announced today.
The Bandits, in partnership with Q105.7 FM in Brooks, will be providing a free, and commercial-free, audio broadcast of the game via the station’s website, Q1057.ca. Fans need only head to the website and click the “Listen Live” link in the top-right corner to hear all of the action from the South Okanagan Events Centre.
In addition, Bandit fans with a FastHockey subscription will also be able to hear the Bandit broadcast via the online video stream of the game at FastHockey.com, by selecting the “Away” audio feed when launching the player.
The Bandits’ Manager of Communications, Tyler King, and lead colour commentator Ken Fleury will provide live commentary of both games, beginning at 7:45 PM on Friday, September 4th, and 6:45 PM on Saturday, September 5th (all times Mountain), with fully-featured pre-game shows prior to the rematches of the 2012 Doyle Cup.
“We are delighted to be able to launch our new broadcast with these two games in Penticton,” said King. “By starting this new, fully-featured, and expansive broadcast through two pre-season games across the B.C. border, we’re showing just how much more fans can expect this year from the team on the multimedia side.”
Earlier this summer, the Bandits signed their first-ever full 60-game broadcast schedule with Q105.7, which will see every regular season and playoff game broadcast both online and over-the-air through the Bandits’ radio partner.
Video highlights and features from Penticton will also be made available on the Bandits’ website, BrooksBandits.ca.
The Bandits are currently preparing for their first home game of the 2015 pre-season, this coming Wednesday, September 2nd at 7:00 PM at the Centennial Regional Arena against the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s Kindersley Klippers. Admission is only $5 at the door, with season ticket holders receiving free admission and their first chance to pick up their tickets for the year.
