BROOKS, AB (November 10, 2020) – Following a two-month delay to the start of the 2020-21 Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) regular season, the Brooks Bandits are excited to begin their 21st season this Friday.
While a new season brings much excitement, the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic has put the team in a difficult situation in regard to tickets.
Due to current Alberta Government restrictions, and with spectator capacity limited to 100 fans per game, the Bandits will not be offering season tickets this year.
As an alternative, the Bandits are implementing the following strategy for ticket sales:
For each game, a percentage of the 100 tickets will be reserved for one of the three categories: 60% for 2019-20 season ticket holders, 20% for suite holders/corporate partners and 20% percent for general admission.
To ensure different fans have a chance to watch a Bandits game, anyone who purchases tickets for a game will not be eligible to purchase for the following game listed under their group.
Existing season ticket holders will be put into 2 Groups (A and B), which will alternate home games to be eligible for tickets. For example, Group A (last names A-J) will be eligible for the Fri, November 13th game, but not the following Fri, November 20th game, which will be available to Group B (last names K-Z). Additionally, anyone in Group A who receives tickets for the Fri, November 13th game, will not be eligible for the following Group A game (Nov 28th), but will be eligible for the game after that (Dec 9th). The groups are determined by last names associated with the account. To purchase tickets, each Group will be given an access code in a separate email.
Season ticket holders will not be eligible for the general admission tickets.
The group schedule will not change if a game is cancelled due to COVID-19. If any game is cancelled, tickets will be refunded.
Tickets will go on sale for each game 2 days prior to the game at Noon (MST). Tickets will only be made available for purchase online at tickets.brooksbandits.ca. A maximum of 2 tickets can be purchased per season ticket account and are $25 each. All purchases will be reviewed by our office staff to ensure our strategy is followed.
As a community-owned team, the Bandits have benefited from outstanding community support since Day 1. To our corporate partners, thank you for putting your financial support behind us. For any businesses who want to partner with us, we still have marketing and sponsorship opportunities available. Email Nathan@brooksbandits.ca for more information.
All games this season will be broadcast live on Real Country 105.7 FM and available for viewing on HockeyTV.com.
Finally, the pandemic is a fluid situation. We will do our very best to adapt to any changes and will keep everyone informed if more options become available. For now, we ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate our team through this unprecedented time.
