BROOKS, AB (November 12, 2022) – Brendan Poshak, Ethan Dekay, Jordan Hughesman and Ethan Beyer each scored, as the Brooks Bandits doubled up the Canmore Eagles 4-2 on Saturday at the Centennial Regional Arena.

Brooks (21-1-2) has won nine straight games, and hasn’t lost in regulation in 19 consecutive games. Bandits goaltender Ethan Barwick made 29 saves for the win.

Brendan Poshak (Northern Michigan) opened the scoring at 2:09, tapping in a backdoor pass from Nathan Free (Penn State) to make it 1-0 Brooks. But the Eagles would tie on the powerplay, as forward Owen Jones scored from the slot top shelf for a 1-1 game. Brooks retook the lead at 15:02, as forward Ethan Dekay (Michigan Tech) jumped on a loose puck off a Elliot Dutil (Lindenwood) right circle shot, and tucked in the puck short side behind Eagles starter Anrdreai Proctor-Ramirez to give Brooks a 2-1 lead. Shots in the 1st were 16-7 Bandits.

Bandits forward Jordan Hughesman (Merrimack) cleaned up a loose puck on top of the crease on a short-side shot attempt from Heath Armstrong just 71 seconds into the 2nd to make it 3-1 Brooks. Despite outshooting Canmore 21-11 in the period, the Bandits were held off the scoresheet for the rest of the period.

Defenceman Ethan Beyer (Arizona State) jumped on a rebound off a Hudson Malinoski (Providence) shot and knocked in his 4th of the season to make it 4-1 Brooks just 61 seconds into the 3rd period.
