BROOKS, AB (June 17, 2022) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have signed 2002-born forward Elijah Pilosof from the Pickering Panthers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL).
Pilosof, 20, and the Panthers won the OJHL Championship in 2022, qualifying for the Centennial Cup in Estevan, and making it to the National Championship Final before falling 4-1 to the Bandits.
The 5’10, 180lb forward had 48 points (20G, 28A) in 32 games for Pickering. Pilosof put up 7 points (3G, 4A) in the 2022 OJHL Playoffs. Through 148 OJHL games, he had 113 points (38G, 75A).
“Eli was a player that caught our attention at the Centennial Cup. We felt he was one of the top players in the event and was a key contributor for Pickering. When the opportunity came up to add him to our group for next season it was an easy decision for us. He will bring offence, work ethic and championship experience to our lineup. We are excited to work with Eli before he heads to the NCAA.”
The Brown University commit (NCAA Division I) had 8 points (1G, 7A) in 7 games at the Centennial Cup in Estevan.
