Bandits sign Minnesota State-Mankato commit Parker Lalonde

BROOKS, AB (June 13, 2023) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have signed 2004-born forward and Minnesota State-Mankato commit Parker Lalonde for the 2023-24 season.

Lalonde (Aberdeen, SK) is a 6’2, 186lbs forward who spent the past two seasons with the Powell River Kings (BCHL). During the 2022-23 campaign, Lalonde was nearly a point/game player with 33 points (16G, 17A) in 36 regular season games, helping the Kings qualify for the BCHL Playoffs.

“I’m extremely excited to be a part of the Bandits organization,” said Lalonde.

“I’ve had friends who have played for the Bandits and have had nothing but great things to say about the coaching staff, fans, and organization. It’s an incredible opportunity to compete for a championship and I look forward to the season.”

He put up 41 points (18G, 23A) in 53 games during the 2021-22 campaign in Powell River, which was the 13th most in the BCHL rookie scoring race.

“Parker is a skilled player with a natural ability to score and make the players around him better,” said Bandits Head Coach and General Manager, Ryan Papaioannou.

“His game should fit well into our style of play and we are looking forward to working with him on his individual development.”

The Bandits welcome Parker and the Lalonde family to Brooks.
