Bandits Sweep Okotoks in Four Games

In a final crushing defeat, the Bandits put the nail in the Okotoks Oilers coffin beating them 8-0 on their home ice to complete the sweep 4 games to 0.

The Bandits were flying high scoring twice in the first 1:24 of the game.  Their 3rd goal came just over a minute later putting the Oilers in a pretty big hole early on.  But the Bandits did not let up there, scoring two more in the first, adding one in the second and sealing the game with a final two goals in the third.

Brooks outshot Okotoks 30-18 and went 1 for 9 on the PP.  Michael Fredrick was in net to stop all 18 shots for the shut out.

The scoring was distrubuted throughout the whole Bandits line up proving just how much depth there is.  Chase Clayton had 2G-1A, Jared Cockrell 1G-2A, Austin Plevy 3A, Shane Bear and Linden Springer with 1G-1A each, Jesse Baird, Kyler Nachtigall and Nick Prukusic with 1G each and Derek Lodermeier and Jeff Malott with 1A each.

With his two goals and one assist, Clayton earned the Game Star.

Now we sit back and wait for the winner of the Camrose-Drumheller series.  We will take them on in the South Final!
