Bandits trade Cousineau to Melville

BROOKS, AB (September 30, 2015) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have traded 1997-born defenceman Ty Cousineau (Minnetonka, MN) to the Melville Millionaires of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) for future considerations, the team announced today.

Cousineau, 18, dressed in five games for the Bandits this season, registering one assist and four penalty minutes, after coming to the team from Minnetonka High School.

“Ty did a great job for us early in the season,” said Bandits head coach and general manager Ryan Papaioannou. “But with the addition of a new defenceman, and the impending return of Jesse Baird from injury, this move will allow Ty to receive more playing time at the Junior A level.”

The Bandits would like to thank Ty for his service to the organization and wish him success in Melville.
