Bandits & Wendy?s bring back 60 Second Cheeseburger Challenge

BROOKS, AB (September 12, 2017) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League are happy to announce the return of the Wendy’s  60 Second Cheeseburger Challenge for home games in the 2017-18 season.

The promotion will continue to provide a free Wendy’s Single Cheeseburger at the Brooks location at 1303 2nd Street to all ticket holders of games where the Bandits score a goal in the final 60 seconds of the third period.

The promotion was activated 7 times last season, translating to offers of more than 10,000 free cheeseburgers over the course of the regular season and playoffs. As in last season, the promotion will extend into the 2018 playoffs.

If and when the Bandits convert on a last-minute goal, fans can take their ticket stubs to the local Wendy’s beginning the day after the game, until seven business days after the game, to redeem it. Season ticket holders with a new “Oneticket” season pass can print their individual game ticket at home through the Bandits ticket website, or get the stub printed at the Bandits office. The full rules and regulations of the contest can be found on the Bandits website.

The first game of the 2017-18 campaign to feature the Wendy’s 60 Second Cheeseburger Challenge will be this coming Saturday at the Bandits’ home opener, when Brooks takes on the Okotoks Oilers at 7:00 PM. The entire team share of the 50/50, as well as a portion of all adult tickets sold, will be donated to Brooks Minor Hockey, and tickets are available online at tickets.brooksbandits.ca, by phone at (403) 501-0122, or in person at the Centennial Regional Arena.
