Days Inn & Suites Highlights:
After a strong start for the Bandits, Oilers forward Bowden Singleton scored the game’s first goal 8:36 into the game on a one-timer set up from behind the net to make it 1-0 Okotoks. Then with 48 seconds left in the 1st period, Dylan James made good on a breakaway chance to double their lead. Shots were 10-5 Bandits in the 1st.
Brooks got on the board with 2:22 left in the 2nd period. Chisholm deked around the Oiler defence and fired in a shot from the right circle for his team leading 7th of the year, extending his point streak to 7 games.
Barwick made a huge save on a James one-timer in the 3rd period to give Brooks a chance, but despite pulling the goaltender for the extra attacker, the Bandits couldn’t find the equalizer. Final shots were 25-24 Brooks.
