BROOKS, AB (November 25, 2021) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have announced 2004-born forward Braden Keeble has committed to the team for the 2022-23 season, the club announced on Thursday.

Keeble, 17, currently plays for the Brandon U18 Wheat Kings, where he leads the Manitoba AAA League in scoring with 47 points (14G, 33A) in 19 games this season.

The 5’10, 155lb captain hails from Brandon, MB.

“The Brooks Bandits are known to be an amazing organization that has had many great teams and is well known for developing players to move onto the college level,” said Keeble.

“After visiting the program, seeing the facility and witnessing how great of a place Brooks would be to play, it has been my goal ever since to play for the Bandits. I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity next season and I’m excited to get started with the team.”

Keeble was announced the Manitoba U18 AAA CCM Player of the Week on November 23. Brandon is currently in first place in their league with a record of 17-0-2.

“Braden is having an unreal start to the season in the Manitoba U18 league. He is a great recruit for us and follows a similar path to Hunter Wallace,” said Bandits Head Coach and GM, Ryan Papaioannou.

“He brings elite skating to our program with a proven record of scoring. We are excited to add Braden to the roster for next season and help him in his pursuit of playing Division 1 hockey.”

The Bandits head on a North Division road trip this weekend, starting Saturday, November 27 in Grande Prairie vs the Storm at Bonnetts Energy Centre at 6:00 pm. That’s followed by a Sunday, November 28 stop in Whitecourt vs the Wolverines at Scott Safety Centre. Puck drop is 2:30 pm.
