Brooks Bandits and Wendy?s partner on 60 Second Cheeseburger Challenge

Every last minute goal at Bandit home games now means free cheeseburgers

BROOKS, AB (September 13, 2016) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are pleased to announce an exciting new promotion for all game day ticket holders of their home games in the 2016-17 season.

Under the new “Wendy’s 60 Second Cheeseburger Challenge”, if the Bandits score in the final minute of regulation in any home game, all ticket-holding fans in attendance will receive a free Wendy’s Single Cheeseburger at its Brooks location at 1303 2nd Street.

The promotion is part of a new partnership between the Bandits and Wendy’s that will also see the restaurant helping to raise awareness of Bandit home game days, as well as further exposure for the restaurant on the new video scoreboard at the Centennial Regional Arena.

If and when the Bandits convert on a last-minute goal, fans can take their ticket stubs to the local Wendy’s beginning the day after the game, until seven business days after the game, to redeem it. The promotion will also continue into the 2017 AJHL playoffs. The full rules and regulations of the contest can be found by clicking here.

The first game to feature the Wendy’s 60 Second Cheeseburger Challenge will be this coming Friday at the Bandits’ home opener, when Brooks takes on the Okotoks Oilers at 7:00 PM. The entire team share of the 50/50, as well as a portion of all adult tickets sold, will be donated to Brooks Minor Hockey, and tickets are available online at tickets.brooksbandits.ca, by phone at (403) 501-0122, or in person at the Centennial Regional Arena.
