ESTEVAN, SK (May 29, 2022) – The stage is set for the 2022 Centennial Cup final, as the Brooks Bandits will look to secure their 3rd National Championship on Sunday at Affinity Place.
The Bandits will face the Pickering Panthers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League in the championship game at 4:00 pm (MST) on Sunday, May 29.
The game will be nationally televised on TSN with Bryan Mudryk and Craig Button, with the Bandits radio broadcast available on Real Country 105.7 FM with Nathan Crosby and Ken Fleury.
Brooks dominated College Francais de Longueuil 11-2 in the National Semi-Final on Saturday, while Pickering blanked the Dauphin Kings 2-0 in the other Semi. The Bandits are 5-0-0-0 at this year’s Centennial Cup, and will have home ice advantage in the final.
The Bandits defeated the Panthers 9-1 in the preliminary round on May 24.
It will be the fourth time Brooks has played in the National Championship game (2013, 2017, 2019), winning in 2013 and 2019.
