The Brooks Bandits have had a very busy December 1st cut down week this year with no less than seven player movements.
Beginning the week was a deal sending forward Josh Cook to the Lloydminster Bobcats for Future Considerations. Josh will likely see an increased role with the Bobcats.
Tuesday, the Bandits parted ways with second year forward Sam Johnson sending him to Merritt of the BCHL with Future Considerations for Brandon Bruce. Sam was part of the AJHL Championship team last season.
On Friday the Bandits officially added Madison Dunn from the Calgary Flames Midget AAA. Madison leaves the Flames as the leading scorer in the AMHL to begin his junior career.
Starting the day off Saturday the Bandits released goaltender Adam Weersink to the Castlegar Rebels of the KIJHL. Adam was one of three goalies on the Bandits roster.
Secondly, defenseman Ben Tegtmeyer was released to the West Kelowna Warriors of the BCHL, giving the Bandits an opportunity to add a defenseman.
The Bandits then acquired defenseman Corey Scammon from the Cowichan Valley Capitals. Corey is committed to the University of Massachusetts-Lowell and calls Orlando, Florida home.
The third move of the day saw Alex Roberts being moved to the Flin Flon Bombers of the SJHL for Future Considerations.
