Former Bandit captain Dennis Cesana attends Capitals development camp

BROOKS, AB (June 25, 2019) ? Former Brooks Bandits captain Dennis Cesana (Providence, RI) has been invited to the development camp of the NHL?s Washington Capitals, it was announced today.

Cesana, 21, just completed his first season of NCAA Division I competition with the Michigan State Spartans, where he was a Big Ten Conference All-Rookie honoree after scoring 24 points in 36 games.

With Brooks, he dressed in 119 regular season games over two seasons, posting 127 points and setting a franchise record for assists in a single-season by a defenceman with 61 in his final campaign. He was the second-highest scoring defenceman in franchise history, trailing only Colorado Avalanche defenceman Cale Makar.

The Capitals’ camp runs from June 25th to the 29th. Cesana is among four college free agents invited.
