BROOKS, AB (July 1, 2017) – Former Brooks Bandits captain Derek Lodermeier (Brooklyn Center, MN) will attend the Philadelphia Flyers’ annual development camp, it was announced this weekend.
Lodermeier, 22, has just completed his first year of competition at the University of Vermont, where in his freshman NCAA season the 6’3”, 216lb forward scored 18 points (4 goals, 14 assists) in 37 games with the Catamounts.
In two years with the Bandits, Lodermeier dressed in a combined 153 regular season and playoff games. His career year in 2015-16 saw him record 60 points (26 goals, 34 assists) in 58 games while being named to the AJHL All-League Team for the South division, helping to lead the Bandits to their third AJHL championship and second appearance at the RBC Cup.
