BROOKS, AB (February 11, 2020) – For the 4th time in the 2019-2020 AJHL season, Brooks Bandits forward Randy Hernandez has been named the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week (February 3rd-9th, 2020).
Hernandez had 10 points (5G, 5A) in 3 games last week. He added an assist on each of the game winning goals over Fort McMurray and Whitecourt. He was named the 1st Star of the game following the victory over the Wolverines.
The Miami, FL native was named Player of the Week from October 7th-13th, October 28th-November 3rd, December 16th-22nd, as well as the Alberta Ford Dealers Player of the Month for October and December of 2019.
Hernandez leads the Bandits in scoring and is 2nd in the AJHL scoring race with 88 points (40G, 48A).
The Robert Morris University commit was also named the Canadian Junior Hockey League 1st Star of the Month for December.
