Hunter Wallace commits to Brooks for 2021-22 season

BROOKS, AB (October 3, 2020) ? The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are pleased to announce 2003-born forward Hunter Wallace has committed to the team for the 2021-22 season.

Wallace is coming off a 2019-20 season that saw him finish 3rd in league scoring, racking up 69 points (36G, 33A) in 48 games with the Southwest Cougars U18 AAA of the Manitoba U18 Hockey League.

?Although a year away, we are extremely pleased with Hunter?s decision to join our program for the 2021-2022 season,? said Bandits Head Coach and GM, Ryan Papaioannou.

?He is an exciting player that has speed, high end puck skills and is as competitive as they come. We got to know him really well during his visit to Brooks and his attitude and smile will be infectious around the dressing room. We will follow his Southwest Cougars U18 team closely this season and are looking forward to being the next step in his development towards the NCAA.”

At 5?6, 137lbs, the 17-year-old native of Oak Lake, MB appeared in 6 playoff games this past season, scoring 12 points (4G, 8A) in 6 games. He also dressed for Team Manitoba at the 2019 Canada Winter Games, contributing 3 goals in the tournament.
