Isaiah Peters signs with Brooks Bandits for 2022-23 season

BROOKS, AB (March 3, 2022) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have announced defenceman Isaiah Peters has signed with the team for the 2022-23 season.

Peters, 17, is currently with the Fraser Valley U18 AAA Thunderbirds and leads the BCEHL in defenceman scoring with 33 points (11g, 22a) in 28 games.

“We are looking forward to adding Isaiah to our program. He’s a top defenceman in the BC U18 league and his mobility will certainly be an asset to our team structure,” said Bandits Head Coach and GM, Ryan Papaioannou.

“He’s a dynamic offensive defenceman that has a knack for the power play and offensive zone starts. He has an ability to create while being regarded as a two-way defenceman and our staff has been really impressed with his overall game.”

The 5’11, 185lb, 2004-born blueliner hails from Langley, BC and is 12th overall in league scoring.

“I’m really excited to help be a part of a winning tradition next year in Brooks,” he said.

“I feel that the Bandits are a great organization to develop, not only as a player, but as a person as well.”

The Bandits welcome Isaiah and the Peters family to Brooks.
