Jeff Malott Signs with Bandits

Bandits Press Release – Jeff Malott signs with Bandits

Brooks, Alberta, May 19, 2014 – The Brooks Bandits are excited to announce the signing of 1996 Forward, Jeff Malott from Waterdown, ON.  Jeff played last season in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League for the Caledonia Pro-Fit Corvairs.  He was an integral part of the Corvairs success this season which culminated in a Sutherland Cup Championship.  During the incredible playoff run Malott scored 7 goals and added 11 assists in 26 games.  The regular season saw him score 15 goals and 19 assists for 34 points in 48 games.

Head Coach/GM Ryan Papaioannou – “Jeff is a player our scouting staff has liked all season.  His development throughout the year was impressive and when playoff time came he was a big time player for Caledonia.  Jeff is a big power forward at 6'3″ 190 lb. and skates very well at that size.  He has an ability to score and more importantly protect pucks in the offensive zone.  In watching the GOJHL Championship Series I became a big fan in his 200 foot game.  He pays attention to details on the defensive side of the puck and was a trusted player each night.”

Jeff Malott –  “I'm looking forward to playing for such a strong organization and contributing to the teams success.  I would like to thank the Caledonia Corvairs Organization for their support this season and wish them the best next year.”
