BROOKS, AB (December 3, 2019) ? The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are thrilled to announce that 2001-born defenceman Ethan Lund (Calgary, AB) and 2003-born defenceman Corson Ceulemans (Beaumont, AB) have been named to the Team Canada West roster that will compete at the World Junior A Challenge in Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
Lund, a 5?10, 180lb defenceman, has 2 goals and 10 assists in 29 games in his second season with the Bandits. As a member of last year?s league championship and national championship team, he recorded 28 points in 53 games as a rookie.
Ceulemans, a 6?2, 190lb defenceman, has 2 goals and 12 assists in 20 games this season. Earlier this season, Ceulemans appeared in 4 games for Team Canada Black at the World U17 Challenge in Medicine Hat and Swift Current. He recorded four assists.
Last season as an affiliate, Ceulemans appeared in 3 playoff games and 5 games in the Doyle Cup, as well as 5 games in the National Junior A Championship, recording 3 assists.
The WJAC goes from December 7-15 at the Encana Events Centre in Dawson Creek. Team Canada West opens their tournament on Saturday (Dec. 7) versus the United States at 7:00 PM.
