The Brooks Bandits are pleased to announce the signing of 1995 Forward, Blake Luscombe from Burlington, ON. Blake played last season with the Ancaster Avalanche in the GOJHL and was an offensive leader for his team despite only suiting up for 38 games. On the season he scored 18 goals and 39 assists for 57 points and added 111 penalty minutes. Luscombe was a dominant player for Ancaster helping the team to a record of 24-19-6 in a very competitive Golden Horseshoe Conference. His production in the GOJHL made him a sought after recruit for the Bandits and plenty of other Junior A organizations.
Head Coach/GM Ryan Papaioannou – “Blake has the ability to score and make plays all while having an in your face mentality. After a season where he was scoring a point and a half per game we will count on him to provide offence for us. His style of play will translate well to the South Division of AJHL. In getting to know Blake we are adding a leader and a person who gives our group character. He will play with his heart on his sleeve and that's a quality we couldn't pass up on.”
Blake Luscombe – “I can't wait to become part of such a great organization and take my game to the next level. I have only heard great things about Brooks and I can't wait to get started. I am really excited to meet everyone involved with the program and look forward to contributing to the teams success in any way I can. I want to thank my coaches and teammates throughout the years for helping me become the player I am today.”
