BROOKS, AB (January 10, 2018) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have added 1999-born forward Mack Hancock (Kingston, ON) to their active roster, the team announced today.
Hancock, 18, had been playing with the Syracuse Stars of the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC), where he was the team’s fifth-highest scorer with 17 points (3 goals, 14 assists) in 31 games.
He scored 16 points (3 goals, 13 assists) in 57 games with the Brockville Braves of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) last season, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) in 5 playoff games.
The Bandits acquired his Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) rights on January 1st in a trade with Brockville.
The 6’2”, 185lb forward previously served as captain for the Greater Kingston Jr. Frontenacs of the Eastern Triple A Minor Midget Hockey League (ETAMMHL) where he scored 33 points (11 goals, 22 assists) in 34 games in the 2014-15 season.
