Malinoski, Celebrini and Court named to 2022-23 AJHL All-Rookie Team

MARCH 13, 2023 – Three Brooks Bandits have been named to the 2022-23 AJHL Viterra South Division All-Rookie Team.

Forward Hudson Malinoski and defencemen Aiden Celebrini and Sam Court were named to the team, which was voted by General Managers and Coaches from around the AJHL.

Malinoski (Saskatoon, SK) was a finalist for the Rookie of the Year Award. Through 44 games he tallied 69 points (16G, 53A), which was third amongst all rookie skaters in the AJHL. His 53 assists are the sixth highest in the AJHL. Malinoski represented Team Canada at the World Junior A Challenge this past December, scoring 7 points (4g, 3a) in 6 games. The 2004-born forward is 78th on the latest NHL Central Scouting Midterm Rankings. He’s committed to Providence (NCAA Division I).

Court (Winnipeg, MB) led all AJHL defencemen in scoring with 72 points (13G, 59A) in 52 games, and was a finalist for the Outstanding Defenceman Award. He had the third-highest scoring single season in Bandit history by a defenceman. Overall, he finished 10th in league scoring, third in assists, and second in scoring amongst all rookie skaters. The 2004-born blueliner is 224th on the latest NHL Central Scouting Midterm Rankings. He also represented Team Canada at the 2022 World Junior A Challenge in Cornwall, ON.

Celebrini (North Vancouver, BC) dressed in 47 games in his first season in Brooks, tallying 21 points (5G, 16A). He finished 11th amongst defencemen in AJHL rookie scoring. He also represented Team Canada at the World Junior A Challenge, where he suited up in all 6 games. He’s committed to Boston University (NCAA Division I), and is 224th on the latest NHL Central Scouting Midterm Rankings.
