BROOKS, AB (January 10, 2016) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have transferred the playing rights of 1996-born goaltender Jonny Reinhart (Cambridge, ON) to the Elmira Sugar Kings of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL), the team announced today.
The move brings the Bandits to the roster limit of 23 players that will be implemented across the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) after midnight tonight, and returns Reinhart to the team for whom he played last season.
Reinhart, 19, recorded three wins and no losses for the Bandits, with a goals against average of 2.00 and save percentage of .913. He was originally acquired from the Nanaimo Clippers of the British Columbia Hockey League on November 30th in exchange for defenceman Taylor Karel.
The Bandits are home Wednesday night against the Olds Grizzlys for the team’s first-ever “Wild Wednesday” promotion, with tickets just $5, beer just $3, and multiple discounts at the concessions and merchandise room. Tickets are available online at tickets.brooksbandits.ca, by phone at (403) 501-0122, or in person at the CRA.
