Ryan McAllister Named AJHL Player of the Month for 2nd time this season

The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for January 2022 is Brooks Bandits forward Ryan McAllister.   The Western Michigan University commit leads the AJHL in scoring with 110 points and is enjoying a record-breaking season.

McAllister ended January by surpassing the 100-point mark to break the team record for most points in a single season and has also set a team record for most assists in a single season passing the previous record of 68.   The 20 year-old Bandit leads the AJHL in points (110) and assists (72) in his third AJHL season.

Over 12 games in January, McAllister scored 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points, while recording seven multi-point games and a career-high six-point night on January 28th.   He was twice named the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game, bringing his season total to eight selections.   Ryan scored hat tricks on January 16th and 28th and recorded his fifth game winning goal of the season on January 14th.

McAllister (London, ON) was awarded as the Pizza 73 AJHL Player of the Week for January 24th-30th, an honour he also received for the week of October 11th-17th, 2021.   This is the second Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month award for McAllister after first earning it in October 2021.

The Bandits (43-5-1) have clinched first overall in the Viterra AJHL South Division and will receive a bye through the first round of the 2022 Playoffs.
