Ryan McAllister wins AJHL Player of the Week for third straight time

Brooks Bandits forward Ryan McAllister continues to dominate the AJHL Scoring Race and has been awarded as the Pizza 73 AJHL Player of the Week for a third consecutive time.   With eight points (6G, 2A) in three games, the 20 year-old forward has recorded six consecutive multi-point games and is averaging 2.3 points per game.

McAllister (Western Michigan University) scored a goal and two assists versus the Camrose Kodiaks on February 8th as the Bandits took an 8-1 win on the road.   McAllister scored twice on February 11th, including the tying goal with minutes left in the game, but Brooks fell 3-2 in overtime to the Crusaders at the Sherwood Park Arena.   Ryan was awarded as the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game.   On February 12th, McAllister scored his fourth hat trick of 2022 and earned his ninth Viterra AJHL Star of the Game award in a 10-5 victory over the Bobcats in Lloydminster.

McAllister (London, ON) is the first Bandit to register 100 points in a season and leads the AJHL in points (123) and assists (77).

The Bandits (47-5-2) have clinched first overall in the Viterra AJHL South Division and will receive a bye through the first round of the 2022 Inter Pipeline AJHL Playoffs.

The Bandits next home game is Wednesday, February 16 when they host the Olds Grizzlys, game time is 6:30 pm.
