BROOKS, AB (October 6, 2021) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are pleased to announce 2004-born forward Hudson Malinoski has committed to the team for the 2022-23 season.
The 5’11, 170lb product of Saskatoon, SK is currently the captain of the Saskatoon U18 AAA Blazers.
“We have been really impressed with Hudson’s game over the past couple seasons. He has developed really well and put himself in a position to captain the Saskatoon Blazers,” said Bandits Head Coach and General Manager, Ryan Papaioannou.
“His tenacity on the puck along with having a great stick is what drew our attention to him. We think he has all the intangibles to become a great Bandit and Division 1 player down the road. Hudson is the second Captain from the Saskatchewan U18 league to commit to us for next season along with Carter Cormier.”
During the 2019-20 season with the Saskatoon Riverkings U18 AA team, Malinoski racked up 42 points (13G, 29A) in 33 games. He also represented Team Saskatchewan at The Brick Invitational Tournament.
“I am really excited and proud to commit to the Brooks Bandits,” said Malinoski.
“They have a great organization and history of scholarship opportunities, which is my ultimate goal to bring my game to the next level. I am truly honoured to be able to call myself a Bandit.”
The Bandits next game is Wednesday, October 6 when they host the Canmore Eagles. Puck drop is 6:30pm at the Centennial Regional Arena, with tickets available at brooksbandits.ca.
