BROOKS, AB (March 1, 2018) – The schedule for the Brooks Bandits’ opening round playoff series with the Canmore Eagles has been released by the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
The best-of-5 South Division Quarter-Final will begin in Brooks with 7:00 PM home games at the Centennial Regional Arena on Thursday, March 8th and Friday, March 9th.
Canmore will host Game 3 on Sunday, March 11th at 5:00 PM at the Canmore Recreation Centre, and if necessary a fourth game on Monday, March 12th at 7:00 PM.
A final and decisive Game 5, if necessary, would be back in Brooks on Wednesday, March 14th at 7:00 PM.
The Bandits won five of the six games in the regular season series between the two teams, winning 5-2 in Brooks on October 20th, 5-1 in Canmore on November 17th, 5-1 in Canmore on December 30th, 6-2 in Brooks on January 1st, and 2-1 in Brooks on January 26th. Canmore beat the Bandits 4-1 in Canmore on November 18th.
It will be the second time the Bandits have taken on the Eagles in the playoffs in the last three years; in 2016, the teams met in the AJHL South Semi-Final, with Brooks winning the series in a four-game sweep.
