Schedule, opponents and broadcast information for Bandits trip to Sweden

KARLSTAD, SWEDEN (August 12, 2023) – Fans can watch and listen to the Brooks Bandits journey at the U20 Super Challenge in Karlstad, Sweden from August 13th to 20th.

All games will be streamed on https://www.svenskhockey.tv/sv/home

1. On the right hand, top of page click on the 3 lines, in the drop down menu, click on English for easier browsing.
2. On the homepage click on Log In, in the top right corner
3. Register to make an account
4. When registering it will ask for your favourite club the you support, Brooks Bandits are in their system and you should be able to select us as the team.
5. Pay for a month subscription, which is $129 SEK, approximately $16 CAD.
6. Once registered and paid you can search for Brooks Bandits games and the three round robin games will be available.

Additionally, a free audio stream will be provided for all games with Bandits broadcaster Nathan Crosby at https://brooksbanditsonline.mixlr.com/

The Bandits arrived in Karlstad on Saturday, August 12th, and will face BIK Karlskoga in a Pre-tournament game at 8:00 am (Mountain Time) on Sunday, August 13th.

The U20 Super Challenge runs from August 15-20, hosted by Farjestad BK at Lofbergs Arena. It features eight teams in two Groups, with team’s travelling from around Europe to participate.

The Bandits will compete in Group B with Valerenga IF (Norway), Denmark and Hungary. Group A will feature the host Farjestad BK (Sweden) with France, Austria and Italy.

Located 300km west of Stockholm, and 220km east of Oslo, Karlstad is a city of 65,000 residents. The Lofbergs Arena seats 8,645 for hockey, and is the home of Farjestad BK, who’s professional team compete in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Karlstad is located in the Central European Timezone, which is eight hours ahead of Mountain Time.

The Bandits 2023 Exhibition Season begins Tuesday, September 5th when they host the Okotoks Oilers at the Centennial Regional Arena. The 2023-24 Regular Season begins September 15th in Drayton Valley when the Bandits begin their defence of three straight National Championships.
