Shattuck forward Kaeden Hawkins commits to Bandits for 2024-25 season

BROOKS, AB (October 25, 2023) – The Brooks Bandits have announced Shattuck St. Mary’s forward Kaeden Hawkins has committed for the 2024-25 season.

Hawkins, 18, currently plays at Shattuck St. Mary’s in Faribault, MN, where he’s scored 17 points (8G, 9A) through 14 games this season. Last year, he put up 32 points (11G, 21A) in 54 games. During his U18 AAA year in 2021-22, Hawkins scored 100 points (34G, 66A) in 62 games.

“We’ve had the chance to become familiar with Kaeden over the last three years. His game continually evolves, and he plays with a skill set that we appreciate,” said Bandits Head Coach and GM, Ryan Papaioannou.

“He’s highly talented with the puck and makes the players around him better. He’s been well coached and plays for a tremendous program at Shattuck. We are excited to work with him prior to his NCAA career at St. Thomas.

Hawkins is a 6’0, 180lb, 2005-born forward from St. Louis, MO. He’s committed to St. Thomas (NCAA Division I), located in Saint Paul, MN.

“I want to thank the Brooks Bandits for their interest in me over the past few years. They’re a top-notch program with a proven record of success – both as an organization and in developing players to move onto the next level,” said Hawkins.

“Like SSM, they seek out players who are “All IN”. From what I’ve heard, Brooks sounds like an unbelievable community, which was one of the big reasons I wanted to sign with the Bandits. I look forward to getting better every single day as a Bandit with their awesome facilities and development coaches. I can’t wait to be a Bandit and play in front of the Brooks community.”

The Bandits welcome Kaeden and the Hawkins family to Brooks.
