BROOKS, AB (June 7, 2022) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are thrilled to announce defenceman Ethan Beyer has signed with the team.
Beyer, 18, plays for the Shattuck-St. Mary’s 18U Prep team, the program where he’s skated for the last four seasons. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he moved to Greenwood Village, CO in 2006. The 5’11, 190lb blueliner tallied 28 points (4g, 24a) in 55 games this past season.
“I’m thrilled to continue my development and hockey career at Brooks,” he said.
“For me it was the great coaching, teammates, and winning culture that helped make my decision super easy. I am super excited to have the opportunity to contribute to the winning culture at Brooks, and want to thank my family, teammates, and coaches for their continued support.”
“Ethan is a player we have recruited for quite some time,” said Bandits Head Coach and GM, Ryan Papaioannou.
“After his visit to Brooks, both Ethan and our organization were very confident in moving forward. I believe he will join a long list of elite level defencemen that have played for our program. We are excited to work with him before his time at Arizona State and also happy to get a player from a tremendous program like Shattuck. Ethan is a strong skating, two-way defenceman that will have an opportunity to contribute offensively and we are looking forward to him getting started in Brooks.”
The Bandits are three-time National Champions, and six-time AJHL Champions, winning both during the 2021-22 season.
