Simon Boyko to play in CJHL Prospects Game

CALGARY, AB (December 18, 2017) – Brooks Bandits rookie forward Simon Boyko (Mississauga, ON) has been named to Team West for the 2018 CJHL Prospects game, it was announced today.

Boyko, 18, is one of 40 NHL draft-eligible prospects selected to the game in conjunction by the CJHL and NHL Central Scouting. Last year, the Bandits were represented at the game by defenceman Cale Makar, who went on to be drafted fourth overall.

The 5’10”, 175lb forward is currently fourth among all AJHL rookies in scoring with 30 points (10 goals, 20 assists) in 34 games. Prior to his Bandit debut, Boyko recorded 38 points (11 goals, 27 assists) in 37 games with the New Jersey Hitmen of the USPHL Premier last season. He is committed to the NCAA Division I University of Vermont.

The game will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd at 7:30 PM Eastern at the Port Credit Memorial Arena in Boyko’s hometown of Mississauga, Ontario.
